She’s been a consulting astrologer since 2013 alongside her studies in physical theater clown, hermetic mysticism and somatic trauma therapy. She teaches and writes on many topics and trains other astrologers and mystics at Your Life Is Enormous, an astro-coaching school. CAMIRN Camirin Farmer is a nonbinary, queer, black performer & astrologer based in Los Angeles, CA. In 2020 Camirin began to fuse their appreciation for astrology, and comedic practice with their astrology based advice show Your Virgo Friend, Camirin on the streaming website Eternal Family. In 2023 Camirin began a more serious study of astrology under the tutelage of Sisterbride, née Blair Bogin, and also joined the clown astrology group Planets Planets Planets directed by Blair Bogin. They have been interviewed on the astrology podcast TALKTALKTALK by Vivi Henriette, and participated on a panel about The Astrology of Los Angeles and the Entertainment Industry during the first Annual Los Angeles Astrology Festival. Formed in 2008, Y La Bamba is a five-piece band inspired by both traditional Mexican corridos and indie folk. The group’s debut album, Alida St. earned positive critical notices for its synthesis of musical styles and visceral musical storytelling. By the end of May he was in prison, sentenced to two years' hard labor for "gross indecency". Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde tells the story of that crushing downfall: the libel suit Wilde brought against the Marquess of Queensberry — the father of his lover, Lord Alfred Douglas — and the two criminal trials that followed when the suit collapsed. He died in destitution three years later. Moisés Kaufman's play, first staged Off-Broadway in 1997, is created from the historical record: trial transcripts, letters, newspaper accounts, memoirs, and Wilde's own writings. The result is part courtroom drama, part Greek tragedy — a company of actors taking on dozens of roles to examine not just what happened to Wilde, but what his trials reveal about art, morality, celebrity, and the law. The questions the play raises were recognized and debated in 1895, were highly relevant in 1997 when the play was first produced, and resonate just as strongly today when questions of identity and gender are still contentious to the point of violence. Kaufman however goes beyond a simple moralistic story (as evidenced by the quote above, which he uses to frame his play). Wilde is extraordinary not only in his intellect and wit but also in his arrogance and disregard for so many people he uses in his pursuit of pleasure. Human nature in all its complexity is on full display here. Queer & Trans Yoga by Sapphire Yoga Collective Weekly Yoga Class @ TDC Mondays from 6:00 PM -7:15 PM This is a trauma-sensitive, all-levels, all-bodies/abilities class taught by a rotating queer-identifying yoga teacher each week. We highlight self nurturance through yoga asana and meditation, a somatic and mindfulness healing practice that resources us for our own resilience as well as community care. No prior yoga experience necessary. Ultimately, this is a brave space for LGBTQIA++ identifying folks to gather and take deep care. Please bring your our yoga mat and water bottle.
