Park at the Juvenile Detention center at 3650 Graham Hill Rd. We will wander into Ponderosa Lodge and up to the viewpoint. There is an uphill section to the top viewing area, with wide steps. We'll search for various conifer-loving species. Ponderosa Pines dominate, with Live oaks and madrones as well. Chaparral is found as we walk uphill. This is a great spot to view Pileated Woodpeckers, when they allow opportunity. Who knows what fall will bring? Leader: Paul Miller
