The Pajaro Dunes Association has graciously granted the Santa Cruz Bird Club the opportunity to lead up to four birding field trips per year to this special habitat. This field trip is the last for 2026. We will be walking next to Watsonville Slough wetland habitat and expect to see shorebirds, ducks, herons, hawks, songbirds and other species. Directions: The address is 2661 Beach Rd, Watsonville, CA 95076. Take the 129 Riverside Drive exit from Hwy 1 and proceed west onto Lee Road. Turn left onto Beach Drive at the stop light. Drive to the end of Beach Drive and turn left into the south gatehouse parking lot. Sign-in is required upon arrival at the south gatehouse then proceed to the parking lot at the Sandpiper Center, about 1/2 mile from entrance gate after the field.
