Espressivo 2026–27 Season with a Benefit Concert, Silent Auction, and Party
A Concert, an Auction, a Party: Espressivo’s 2026–27 Season Kicks Off September 26 A concert! An auction! A party! Join Espressivo as it ushers in its 2026–27 season on Saturday, September 26 with a concert, a silent auction, and a tempting array of snacks and drinks. The event is a benefit concert for Espressivo, Santa Cruz’s self-styled “small intense orchestra,” which has entertained and enlightened audiences with its eclectic musical offerings since 2015. Local professional musicians have volunteered their time to create a program of chamber music by Vivaldi, Mozart, Haydn, Boismortier, and Eugène Bozza. Contributing to the international flavor is the venue itself — the German Cultural Center on Plymouth Street, a charming time capsule of nineteenth-century Santa Cruz. Adding to the fun will be a silent auction of promises, including activities and services you may never encounter again at a fundraiser. Sail into Monterey Bay with skipper Lars Johannessen, our virtuoso flautist. Learn conducting with Michel Singher, Espressivo’s conductor emeritus. A bassoon recital? Yes, that too! Come for the music, come for the fun, come to help one of Santa Cruz’s important musical organizations. SAVE THE DATE! When: Saturday, September 26, 2026 at 4 pm Where: German Cultural Center Santa Cruz, 230 Plymouth St., Santa Cruz Tickets: General $40; Students $10; available at the door or on our website at www.espressorch.org.
