Garfield Park Library Open Mic Book Sale Westside Author Helene Simkin Jara

Our Bi-annual Book Sale with Open Mic and Westside Author Talk. The book sale begins at 11 a.m.; the Westside author talk begins at 1:30. Open Mic will start at 1pm, then resume after the Author talk. Helen will also perform a 10 minute monologue expressing her experience of letting go. (I'll stop there. You have to come to see and hear.) She will also read from her book, Wallet and Other Stories. A special guest appearance by local actor, Steve Capasso. Specialty cookies by Chef Stephany (popular local baker). All proceeds to benefit the literacy fund needs by Friends of Santa Cruz Library, benefiting Garfield Park Library.
