Looking at the genome: Learn how to use the UCSC Genome Browser - Thursday, September 17th / 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. with Cin Location: SubRosa, 703 Pacific Avenue, Santa Cruz, CA Description: Ever wanted to zoom around sequences in a chromosome? Curious about how normal people can interact with sequencing research? This workshop will walk you through how to use the UCSC Genome Browser, a free, interactive web portal of data that can be explored to learn about genes. Materials: Students are encouraged to bring a laptop or tablet that can access wifi, to allow them to follow along. However, this is not required. Community care note: Masks not required but encouraged
