βKeyon Harrold is the future of the trumpetβ β Wynton Marsalis Keyon Harrold is an award-winning trumpeter, vocalist, songwriter, and producer. Harrold first came into the international spotlight for his critically acclaimed album, The Mugician, and his work as the trumpet voice behind the GRAMMY winning Don Cheadle film Miles Ahead. As a bandleader, he has created a compelling new statement with a riveting mix of jazz, Afrobeat, soul, spoken word, hip-hop, blues, rock, and American folk. As a soloist, his distinctly warm trumpet sound simmers in the middle register; creating drama without aggrandizing, and mesmerizing live audiences with an emotionally charged concert presentation. Harrold has collaborated with many of the top hip hop and pop artists including: Snoop Dogg, Jay Z, Beyonce, Rihanna, Eminem, Maxwell, and Anthony Hamilton, as well as rock legends Keith Richards and Jeff Beck. His current touring ensemble can best be described as βBop Pop Hip-Hop Jazz.β Rooted in jazz, the band freestyles and solos with authority and weaves the spectrum of African American music into a sonic expression. Keyon Harrold β Foreverland will showcase his GRAMMY nominated recording Foreverland, an acclaimed crossover success, which features a bevy of collaborators, along with the single βBeautiful Dayβ which received world-wide radio play.

The 8th Annual KBCZ Music Fest returns Saturday August 29th to Garrahan Park in Boulder Creek. Our 4 bands are The Mother Corn Shuckers, Squidrow Orchestra, Trestles and the headliner is local mountain favorite, The Coffis Brothers. Local breweries offering beer/wine and cider, Vendors and kids activities. All proceeds benefit KBCZ 89.3 FM Boulder Creek Community Radio which is celebrating 10 years on the air! Focusing on the βgolden eraβ of Elvisβ career, Bay Area-based The Kingβs Men Tribute band is fronted by singer Lloyd Aron Douglas, an Elvis tribute artist since 2012. The group boasts an all-classic repertoire of nearly three dozen songs popularized by and/or associated with the undisputed King of Rock βnβ Roll. While Greyboy himself moved on to other projects, the band preserved his visionary spirit, with each Allstar contributing a legacy of their own. Saxophonist and flutist Karl Denson first turned heads playing on essential Lenny Kravitz albums Let Love Rule and Mama Said, then led Karl Densons Tiny Universe. Hes toured as a member of The Rolling Stones since 2014 and appeared as the Sexual Chocolate sax player in Eddie Murphys iconic Coming to America. Guitarist Michael Andrewsor Elgin Park, if you preferis a noted film composer whose work on Donnie Darko (with his signature cover of Tears for Fears Mad World) remains central to its cult status. Keyboardist Robert Walter leads Robert Walters 20th Congress, and plays with Mike Gordon from Phish.
